The show explores the worlds of its protagonists, Priya Sharma ( Sakshi Tanwar) and Ram Kapoor ( Ram Kapoor), who accidentally discover love after getting married. Based on the Gujarati play Patrani by Imtiaz Patel, the soap opera was created and produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms.
